Our name might not be familiar to you, so please let us introduce ourselves.
Christadelphians (the term means Brothers in Christ) are a worldwide community of men and women who try to follow the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. We have been organized under the name Christadelphians for over 150 years and are located in many countries throughout the world with the largest groups being in Europe, Australia, and North America.
We base our beliefs wholly on the Bible, regarding it to be fully inspired by God, and hence error free. We believe that the Word of God truly has a message of hope for all of mankind! Being united by this shared faith in the Holy Scriptures, we look forward to the fulfillment of God’s plan for the world and mankind; the Kingdom of God on the earth, where Jesus Christ will reign as God’s appointed King.
The Granite State ecclesia (ecclesia is a Greek word that describes a group of believers and which is translated as church in the New Testament) has existed in the Southern New Hampshire area since the late 1970s. Recently, we have rejoiced to find a place of our own and we feel it is important to establish and nourish a presence in a community where we can help the Word of God shine forth as best we can. We try to be active in our community including helping at food banks, working at outreach centers, and visiting in local nursing homes. As a family oriented group we feel that it is vitally important to teach the young ones to express their spirituality, not only in words but in actions as expressions of our faith in God and our compassion for the needs of others.
We are keenly aware of the need these days for men and women to find their connection to God, and consequently we make it a priority to reach out publicly by providing Bible based talks and seminars.
Sunday Morning Worship – Our Sunday worship service is conducted in a more traditional manner than some churches practice in this day and age. Our focus is on quiet, respectful meditation through the reading of God’s Word, singing hymns as a congregation, listening to an inspirational talk and observing the bread and wine memorial as instituted by Christ. We reserve participation of the bread & wine memorial to baptized members of the Christadelphian community. We do not have a paid clergy, so our meetings are conducted by sharing all of the various responsibilities amongst our baptized brethren.
Sunday School closely follows the conclusion of our Worship Service. We have many different classes, an adult class, teen classes and also classes for the young ones arranged by age groups. We encourage everyone to be consistent and enthusiastic Bible students whatever their age may be. We believe that this is the only way that we are able to come to know God and to understand His Will in our lives.
